Certification & Participation Agreement

NuFeet Medical Pedicures® and NuFeet Academy are committed to advancing professional pedicure education, elevating industry standards, encouraging responsible collaboration with healthcare professionals, and supporting trained professionals as they build successful careers and businesses in advanced foot care.

Becoming a Certified NuFeet Medical Pedicurist™ represents completion of NuFeet's designated educational and certification requirements. It may also provide opportunities to participate in additional NuFeet programs, resources, and professional communities.

NuFeet events and expos
NuFeet Locator Map
Trainer and educator opportunities
Professional collaborations
Alumni resources
Other NuFeet programs and benefits

This Certification & Participation Agreement (“Agreement”) explains the rights, responsibilities, and expectations associated with your certification and participation in NuFeet-affiliated programs.

By enrolling in, completing, accepting, or using the NuFeet Medical Pedicurist™ certification, and/or participating in NuFeet-affiliated programs, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.

1. Your NuFeet Certification

Successful completion of the applicable NuFeet Academy certification requirements permits you to identify yourself as a:

Certified NuFeet Medical Pedicurist™

Certification represents completion of NuFeet's educational requirements. It does not create or grant a medical license, healthcare license, or other professional license.

Your NuFeet certification does not expand the legal scope of practice granted by your existing professional license or credential.

You remain responsible for understanding and complying with all federal, state, and local laws, licensing requirements, professional regulations, and scope-of-practice limitations that apply to you and your business.

Certification through NuFeet does not authorize a participant to diagnose, prescribe, or provide medical treatment unless that participant is independently licensed and legally authorized to do so.

2. Building Your Own Business

NuFeet encourages graduates to use their education to build successful, independent businesses.

Certified NuFeet Medical Pedicurists™ may, within their lawful scope of practice:

Provide advanced professional pedicure services.
Offer Medical Pedicure services.
Perform techniques and services for which they have received appropriate education and training.
Incorporate waterless pedicure techniques.
Perform toenail reduction when permitted within their scope.
Provide toenail correction or restoration services when appropriately trained and legally permitted.
Educate clients about proper home care.
Build relationships with podiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
Establish their own salon, suite, spa, mobile service, foot-care practice, or other independent business.
Create their own service menus, pricing structures, policies, branding, and business systems.
Market themselves as a Certified NuFeet Medical Pedicurist™, subject to the credential-use provisions of this Agreement.

NuFeet does not require graduates to operate exclusively within the NuFeet organization.

You are free to grow, innovate, expand, and create your own professional path.

3. Scope of Practice and Professional Responsibility

NuFeet provides professional education. It does not replace your licensing authority or determine the laws governing your individual practice.

Each participant is responsible for determining whether a particular service, product, device, technique, or procedure is permitted within their professional scope of practice.

You agree not to use your NuFeet certification to imply that you are legally authorized to practice medicine, diagnose disease, prescribe medication, perform surgical procedures, or provide services otherwise restricted by law.

When a client's condition appears to require medical evaluation or treatment outside your scope of practice, you are expected to appropriately refer the client to a qualified healthcare professional.

NuFeet strongly supports collaboration between advanced pedicure professionals and qualified healthcare providers when appropriate.

4. Use of the Certified NuFeet Medical Pedicurist™ Credential

Graduates who successfully complete the applicable certification requirements may accurately identify themselves as a:

Certified NuFeet Medical Pedicurist™

Your certification belongs to you as the individual who earned it.

It may not be:

Transferred to another person.
Shared with another professional.
Used to certify employees or contractors.
Used to represent that an entire salon, company, school, or organization is NuFeet-certified unless separately authorized.
Used to imply that another person has completed NuFeet training when they have not.
Altered or represented in a misleading manner.

Unless separately authorized in writing, certification does not make you an employee, agent, franchisee, spokesperson, instructor, trainer, representative, or business location of NuFeet Medical Pedicures® or NuFeet Academy.

5. Authorized Use of NuFeet Educational Materials

Your NuFeet training is provided for your personal professional education and authorized professional use.

You are encouraged to apply the knowledge and skills gained through your education when providing services to your own clients within your lawful scope of practice.

However, purchasing or completing a NuFeet course or certification does not transfer ownership of NuFeet's educational materials to you.

Unless NuFeet provides specific written authorization, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, publish, upload, publicly display, commercially exploit, or provide others with NuFeet-owned educational materials.

Protected or restricted materials may include:

Course manuals
Training guides
Videos
Recorded demonstrations
Presentations
Slide decks
Photographs
Graphics
Illustrations
Worksheets
Forms
Assessments
Quizzes
Downloadable resources
Instructor materials
Members-only resources
Student-only content
Password-protected content
Proprietary business resources
Original written curriculum
Other materials created or distributed by NuFeet

You may not remove NuFeet branding from NuFeet materials and present those materials as your own.

You may not purchase a NuFeet course for the purpose of copying, redistributing, reselling, or providing the course materials to other individuals.

Access credentials for online courses, training portals, member resources, or protected educational content are for the authorized participant only and may not be shared.

6. NuFeet Brand, Trademark, and Certification Use

NuFeet Medical Pedicures® has developed distinctive branding, educational programs, credentials, course materials, products, program names, logos, and other intellectual property.

Certification permits you to accurately describe your earned credential.

It does not give you ownership of NuFeet's trademarks, logos, program names, certification marks, educational brands, or other intellectual property.

Unless separately authorized by NuFeet in writing, you may not use NuFeet branding in a manner that suggests that your independent:

Business
School
Academy
Certification
Course
Conference
Event
Product
Membership
Mentorship
Training program
Website
Social media account

is owned, operated, sponsored, endorsed, certified, or officially affiliated with NuFeet.

You may state your legitimate relationship with NuFeet accurately.

For example:

Permitted:
“Jane Smith, Certified NuFeet Medical Pedicurist™”

An independent business should not be presented in a way that reasonably creates the impression that it is an official NuFeet location, branch, academy, certification program, or affiliated organization unless NuFeet has authorized that relationship.

NuFeet logos, marks, certification graphics, and branded materials must be used in accordance with any branding guidelines provided by NuFeet.

7. Independent Education, Teaching, and Entrepreneurship

NuFeet supports entrepreneurship.

Your NuFeet certification does not prevent you from becoming an educator, mentor, speaker, consultant, business owner, product developer, course creator, or competitor.

You may:

Teach subjects within your qualifications and experience.
Mentor other professionals.
Create your own educational programs.
Develop your own courses.
Establish your own academy.
Create your own certification program.
Create your own mentorship community.
Write your own manuals or training resources.
Develop your own professional systems.
Create original products and services.
Participate in other professional organizations.
Work with or learn from other companies.
Compete with NuFeet.

NuFeet does not claim ownership of your independently developed knowledge, experience, ideas, business concepts, or original educational materials.

However, your independent educational programs must be developed using your own original curriculum, content, research, experience, materials, branding, and instructional resources.

Your NuFeet certification does not give you permission to:

Teach NuFeet's proprietary curriculum as your own.
Reproduce NuFeet training manuals for your students.
Copy NuFeet presentations or course materials.
Rebrand NuFeet materials with your own logo.
Give your students access to NuFeet student or member resources.
Record NuFeet training and redistribute it.
Issue NuFeet certifications.
Represent yourself as an authorized NuFeet educator or trainer unless you have received that designation.
Represent an independent program as being approved, sponsored, certified, or operated by NuFeet without authorization.

Learning from NuFeet does not prevent you from becoming an educator.

It simply does not transfer ownership of NuFeet's protected educational materials or branding to you.

8. Optional NuFeet Network and Community Benefits

Certification and participation in NuFeet's ongoing professional network are separate.

Successfully earning your NuFeet certification does not guarantee lifetime participation in every NuFeet program, resource, membership, collaboration, promotional opportunity, or benefit.

Depending upon availability and eligibility, optional benefits may include:

NuFeet Locator Map placement
NuFeet Network participation
NuFeet Gems
Mentorship Programs
Private communities
FootDx™ participation or access
Trainer opportunities
Educator opportunities
Event invitations
Expo participation
Referral opportunities
Collaborative projects
Promotional opportunities
Alumni resources
Continuing education opportunities
Other member or community benefits

Individual programs may have their own:

Eligibility requirements
Membership requirements
Fees
Renewal requirements
Continuing education requirements
Participation standards
Professional standards
Technology requirements
Policies
Separate agreements

NuFeet may modify, rename, restructure, replace, expand, or discontinue optional programs as the organization evolves.

Participation in an optional NuFeet program does not create a permanent contractual right to continued participation unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise.

9. Suspension or Removal From Optional NuFeet Programs

NuFeet reserves the right to protect the safety, reputation, intellectual property, branding, resources, and integrity of its optional programs and professional community.

Participation in an optional NuFeet program may be reviewed, restricted, suspended, or discontinued when NuFeet reasonably determines that a participant has violated the terms governing that program or this Agreement.

Examples may include:

Unauthorized copying or distribution of NuFeet educational materials.
Commercial use of protected NuFeet materials without permission.
Unauthorized use of NuFeet trademarks, logos, or certification marks.
Falsification or misrepresentation of NuFeet credentials.
Allowing another person to use your personal NuFeet training account.
Sharing restricted student, member, or educator resources.
Representing an independent business or educational program as officially affiliated with NuFeet when it is not.
Issuing unauthorized NuFeet certifications.
Misrepresenting yourself as an authorized NuFeet trainer, educator, representative, partner, or affiliate.
Serious or repeated violations of applicable NuFeet program standards.
Fraudulent activity connected with participation in a NuFeet program.
Harassment, threats, or conduct creating a legitimate safety concern within a NuFeet program or community.

Whenever reasonably appropriate, NuFeet may notify the participant of the concern and provide an opportunity for clarification or correction before permanent removal.

Depending upon the circumstances, NuFeet may:

Provide written notice.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request removal of unauthorized materials.
Issue a warning.
Temporarily restrict access.
Suspend participation.
Remove Locator Map placement.
Terminate membership in an optional NuFeet program.
Discontinue promotional or referral benefits.
Revoke trainer, mentor, educator, or other voluntary designations where applicable.

NuFeet may take immediate action when reasonably necessary to address fraud, serious intellectual-property misuse, credential misrepresentation, security concerns, safety risks, or other substantial violations.

10. Certification Following Removal From Optional Programs

Removal from an optional NuFeet program does not automatically erase or cancel education legitimately completed by the participant.

For example, removal from the:

NuFeet Locator Map
NuFeet Network
NuFeet Gems
Mentorship Programs
Trainer Program
Educator Program
Private member communities
Referral programs
Events
Collaborations
Other optional benefits

does not, by itself, mean that the individual never completed the underlying certification.

A graduate who legitimately earned the Certified NuFeet Medical Pedicurist™ credential may continue to accurately represent completion of that certification unless the certification itself has been separately revoked pursuant to an applicable certification policy.

However, after removal from an optional program, the individual may no longer represent themselves as a current member, listed provider, trainer, mentor, educator, partner, affiliate, approved participant, or active member of a NuFeet program from which they have been removed.

Certification Revocation

NuFeet may separately review the validity of a certification in circumstances involving matters such as:

Fraud in obtaining the certification.
Falsification of required credentials or prerequisites.
Identity fraud.
Another individual completing required coursework or assessments on the participant's behalf.
Unauthorized transfer or sale of the certification.
Material misrepresentation regarding completion of certification requirements.

Removal from an optional community program and revocation of the underlying certification are separate actions.

11. NuFeet Hands-On Trainer and Educator Pathways

Certified NuFeet Medical Pedicurists™ who are passionate about education are encouraged to explore authorized NuFeet trainer, mentor, and educator opportunities when available.

These opportunities may allow qualified professionals to:

Provide hands-on education.
Mentor developing professionals.
Assist NuFeet students.
Demonstrate advanced techniques.
Participate in educational events.
Facilitate approved training experiences.
Contribute professional knowledge to the NuFeet community.

Becoming a Certified NuFeet Medical Pedicurist™ does not automatically grant trainer or educator status.

NuFeet trainer, mentor, faculty, or educator designations may require additional:

Experience
Education
Applications
Evaluations
Agreements
Training
Fees
Professional credentials
Approval

Only individuals specifically authorized by NuFeet may represent themselves as official NuFeet trainers, instructors, educators, mentors, or faculty.

12. Confidential and Restricted Resources

From time to time, participants may receive access to information or resources that are not publicly available.

These may include private training resources, educator materials, business resources, internal program information, membership information, private discussions, unreleased content, or other restricted materials.

Restricted NuFeet materials may not be intentionally distributed outside the individuals or groups authorized to receive them.

Nothing in this provision prevents a participant from using their own general knowledge, professional experience, independently developed information, or information lawfully available to the public.

13. Independent Business Relationship

Certified NuFeet Medical Pedicurists™ are independent professionals unless a separate written agreement specifically establishes another relationship.

Certification alone does not create:

An employer-employee relationship
A partnership
A joint venture
A franchise
An agency relationship
A business ownership interest
Authority to enter agreements on behalf of NuFeet

Each participant remains responsible for their own:

Business
Clients
Employees
Contractors
Taxes
Insurance
Professional licensing
Business licensing
Advertising
Service decisions
Client records
Products
Equipment
Policies
Legal and regulatory compliance

You may not enter into an agreement, incur an obligation, or make a representation on behalf of NuFeet unless NuFeet has expressly authorized you to do so.

14. No Guarantee of Income, Clients, Referrals, or Business Results

NuFeet provides education and may provide professional development, networking, visibility, referrals, or promotional opportunities.

However, NuFeet does not guarantee any specific:

Number of clients.
Amount of income.
Business revenue.
Profit.
Employment opportunity.
Client referral.
Locator Map traffic.
Professional collaboration.
Business growth.
Return on investment.
Career outcome.

Individual results vary and depend upon numerous circumstances beyond NuFeet's control.

Participation in the NuFeet Locator Map or another promotional program does not guarantee that clients will contact, book, or purchase services from a participant.

15. Fees, Payments, Renewals, and Refunds

Courses, certification programs, memberships, mentorships, events, training programs, subscriptions, and other NuFeet products or services may have separate fees, payment terms, renewal requirements, cancellation policies, and refund policies.

Those specific terms apply to the applicable purchase or program.

Removal from an optional NuFeet program because of a material violation of its participation requirements does not automatically entitle the participant to reimbursement for education, products, services, access, membership periods, or benefits already provided.

Nothing in this Agreement eliminates any refund, cancellation, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.

16. Program Updates and Changes

Professional education and the advanced pedicure industry continue to evolve.

NuFeet may periodically update:

Curriculum
Educational standards
Program names
Branding
Technology
Member resources
Training methods
Locator Map requirements
Continuing education opportunities
Optional program eligibility
Community guidelines
Policies and procedures

NuFeet may also introduce new programs or discontinue programs that are no longer offered.

Current program benefits are not guaranteed to remain unchanged indefinitely.

Material changes affecting existing paid contractual rights will remain subject to applicable agreements and law.

17. Respecting Entrepreneurship and the NuFeet Community

NuFeet believes education should help professionals grow.

We want Certified NuFeet Medical Pedicurists™ to:

Build businesses.

Become leaders.

Become educators.

Create original programs.

Develop products.

Build professional communities.

Collaborate with physicians.

Teach what they have independently learned and mastered.

Innovate.

Compete.

Succeed.

Graduating from NuFeet does not mean that your future professional ideas belong to NuFeet.

At the same time, becoming a graduate does not mean that NuFeet's original training materials, protected resources, branding, credentials, or proprietary content become yours to reproduce, distribute, rebrand, certify, or sell.

Our expectation is simple:

Take what you have learned, combine it with your own education, experience, research, creativity, and vision, and build something that is authentically yours.

NuFeet will continue to protect what belongs to NuFeet while respecting your right to build what belongs to you.

This balance helps preserve the quality, trust, credibility, and innovation associated with the NuFeet Medical Pedicures® community.
